Take a pan, add butter into it, and heat it on medium-high heat to fry the ground beef. Keep cooking until the beef is no longer pink. Once cooked, add Tex-Mex and crushed tomatoes into the pan. Give it a stir and let the mix simmer for 5 minutes. You can further add salt and pepper into it if needed.
Spread the mixture of the ground beef on a baking sheet, which is 9 inches or 23 cm in diameter, and top it with a layer of cheese and sprinkling of jalapenos.
Bake the casserole in the oven for 15-20 minutes and wait for the cheese to turn golden brown.
For the serving prepare a mix of crème fraîche or sour cream with chopped scallions. You can also serve it with guacamole and a green salad.
