Instructions

  • Make a mixture of ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and Parmesan cheese SET ASIDE.
  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Prepare peppers (wash pat dry, cut lengthways, seed and core).
  • Brown sausage (drain).
  • Brown ground beef (drain).
  • Add both browned ground beef and browned sausage back to a large skillet and pour in Marinara (simmer 5 mins until nicely thickened) remove from heat.
  • Spoon meat sauce into the bottom of pepper halves, then layer in Ricotta mixture and repeat.
  • Sprinkle with Mozzarella.
  • Place on non stick baking sheet and bake for 30 mins or until peppers have softened.Serve immediately sprinkled with parsley for garnish (optional).
  • Pairs well with a light garden green salad.
