Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat then add in the butter.
Once the butter melts, add in the sausage and fry for a few minutes until it becomes golden brown in color.
Once cooked, place the sausage on a paper towel to drain and cool off.
Use a sharp chopping knife to chop or crumble the cooked sausage into smaller pieces then add into a medium bowl, set aside.
Using a large mixing bowl, add in the grease left over from frying the sausage alongside the rest of the ingredients then mix properly using clean hands or an electric mixer.
Place the mixture in the fridge and let set for about15 minutes.
Make about 24 balls out of the mixture then roll each in the cooked and crumbled sausage then serve.
Note, you can also use bacon for this recipe as a sausage substitute.
